Fringe REvolution

Is Fringe Theatre in trouble?

With The Stage reporting on the “uphill struggles” in Edinburgh over the summer, uncertainty around the future of ACE funding and the recent closure of prominent London venues and festivals, should we be sounding the alarm? Or is this all a perception problem? London Fringe Theatre Makers are made of strong stuff. We continue to survive and display our art. But is it time for us to fight back more strategically against this narrative of decline? Should we be coming together to get battle-ready for the challenges coming over the hill in the second quarter of the 21st century? Can we, collectively, combine our expertise and figure out how to evolve the capital’s Fringe Theatre community to be future-ready?

That’s what we intend to find out at Fringe REvolution - A series of one-day conferences on the present and future of London Fringe Theatre.

We will hear from invited speakers that include members of the government, PR professionals, theatre operators, producers, artistic directors and press.

We will have guided discussions on a number of topics - taken from your suggestions.

This event will be curated and moderated to keep discussions moving forward and topical.

Tickets are free by request or invitation only. If you wish to attend, please fill in the form by clicking on the ticket link in the event you wish to attend
