Produced and presented by Scene-opsis Productions

From the Director "You Can't Find Love in London", Scene-opsis returns to The Cockpit with a powerful new original production exploring the quiet realities that can exist behind seemingly ordinary lives.

Happily, Ever After is an intimate one-woman play following Balvinder, a British-Indian woman who invites us into the story she never thought she would tell. Through memory, humour, heartbreak and extraordinary resilience, one performer inhabits multiple voices to reveal how identity can be slowly reshaped by expectation, silence and control.

Blending compelling storytelling with striking visual design, this 40-minute theatrical experience examines not only domestic abuse, but the subtle ways in which culture, family, hope and love can become intertwined.

Following the performance, audiences are invited for Beyond the Curtain—a live panel discussion bringing together voices from media, safeguarding, social advocacy and community leadership. Together, they will explore the realities of domestic abuse, cultural expectations, public policy, the role of storytelling in driving meaningful change, resilience and the pathways towards change.

Part theatre. Part conversation. Entirely unforgettable.
Happily, Ever After is more than a performance—it is an invitation to witness, reflect and become part of a conversation that extends far beyond the stage.
