Between is a contemporary opera for singer on trapeze, oboe, and piano exploring the intersection of artistic and disability identity through a fusion of contemporary circus arts and classical music. This premiere shows one small moment of creation within an interabled group of women, highlighting the everyday experiences of disabled artists entering new spaces.

Through movement and music we ask that you put aside learned prejudices to imagine a new approach to inclusivity in the arts; making space for diverse bodies and minds within the framework of years of tradition rather than relegating them to a separate arena.

Following the show we will hold an open discussion/Q&A session and encourage all to participate in finding new paths forward within the world of disability and artistic pedagogy.
