Nine girls. One Dorm. Zero filter.
A new dance-theatre experience from Response Theatre Company.
Welcome to the party you always wished you were invited to. 'I Made You a Mixtape' throws you straight into the heart of a 90s college dorm hangout, complete with red solo cups, old-school camcorders, and the greatest hits of the decade. Exploring themes of friendship, identity, and moments of change, nine girls arrive for what feels like one last night together.
Created using the Response Movement Method, a hybrid of Meisner acting and movement theatre, the performers' impulsive responses to the music, given circumstances, and each other, are what tell us the story. No two performances are ever exactly the same. Joyful, tender, and wildly nostalgic, 'I Made You a Mixtape' is a love letter to growing up, growing apart, and the friends that make us who we are.
The company received several 4 & 5 star reviews for their short April run, and have been nominated for two Fringe Theatre Awards (Dance - Choreography/Movement, Dance - Performance).
“Infectiously happy & deeply lived.” ★★★★★

"An unfiltered look into the essence of youth." ★★★★★
