The Roost is a new pop-up venue at Unit 62, the Triangle, on Church Street. The Roost follows the Cockpit’s ethos of “ideas and disruptive panache” and provides artists with a studio performance space, particularly aimed at Camden Fringe Festival.
The Roost is a 30 seat, multi-purpose space, both in terms of performance and community function. We will explore hosting both local artists and artists that connect with the area, as well as a variety of early career theatre makers.
By day, we will be a hub for children’s and family theatre for the Camden Fringe. By night, we will host a variety of small-scale performances, such as comedy, spoken word, one person shows, and performance art.
The roost will offer an affordable performance space, access to the Cockpit’s studios at a discounted rate, and a limited number of bursaries to use the space for free.
We will continue our Cockpit mission to be a space for early-career and established professionals alike. The Roost will be somewhat of a stepping stone between the Cockpit and the wider theatre community.
The Roost is operating the 11th-24th of August, 2025. Applications will open soon on Eventotron. For more information on the Camden Fringe and how to apply, click here.
