Course description
Super Connected Voice explores authentic vocal expression for actors, singers, songwriters and theatre makers. This dynamic workshop focuses on honing techniques, sharing works-in-progress, and receiving constructive feedback to cultivate raw authenticity in performance. Led by Tim Arnold, participants learn to transcend mere technical skill and instead engage audiences through genuine connection to character and narrative.

Who could benefit from this course?
This course is tailored for anyone aiming to refine their vocal abilities and deepen their capacity to authentically connect ‘story to sound’ across various modes of expression, encompassing acting, singing, and public speaking. Whether you're a seasoned performer or embarking on your artistic journey, this course provides a nurturing space for exploration and advancement.

How does it work?
The course consists of one morning and one afternoon session aimed at nurturing vocal authenticity and expression. In the morning session, participants engage in a short lecture by Tim Arnold about the value of sound. This session transitions into an interactive sharing opportunity where participants present their works-in-progress. In the afternoon session, participants delve deeper into feedback discussions, focusing on stripping away technical perfection to uncover raw authenticity. Through collaborative exploration, participants learn to embrace imperfections and create performances that deeply resonate with audiences.

What do you gain?
With this course, you'll deepen your capacity to authentically connect story to sound, enriching communication skills across acting, singing, and public speaking domains.

The morning session equips you with an array of techniques to enrich your vocal repertoire, while the afternoon session empowers you to channel these skills into the creation of compelling performance pieces. Throughout the day, we'll explore Tim Arnold's concept of Super Connected Voice, aiming not only for technical proficiency but also for a deep connection with the story we tell and the characters we portray, ensuring that our audience is drawn not merely to the quality of our singing but to the emotional resonance of our performance.

Bring a song, a monologue, or poem you'd like to work with. Or just bring yourself!
