About the Play

‘’We witness the struggle of a crowded family that has migrated from a village to the city, told through the eyes of the youngest daughter, Dirmit.
Confined to a single-room home, every member finds their own way to survive the city.
Dirmit, however, pushes through all obstacles with her relentless curiosity and strength to resist.
Her mother Atiye, father Huvat, and brothers try to protect her from the city and discipline her through tradition and custom — but Dirmit refuses to shrink herself. She keeps moving, transforming, insisting on claiming her own voice.
And Dirmit… does she ever stop? She does not.’’

Oyun Hakkında

'' Köyden şehre göç eden kalabalık bir ailenin şehirle mücadelesini ailenin en küçük kızı Dirmit'in
gözünden dinliyoruz. Sıkıştıkları tek odalı evde, şehre tutunma mücadelesinde hepsi kendilerince
bir yol tutturuyor. Dirmit kız ise durmak bilmeyen merakı ve direnme gücü sayesinde karşısına
çıkan zorluklarla baş etmenin türlü yollarını buluyor. Onu şehirden korumaya çalışan annesi Atiye,
babası Huvat ve abileri Dirmit'in türlü yollarından huylanıyor, ona adet ve geleneklerin
rehberliğinde türlü engeller koyuyorlar. Ama Dirmit durur mu, durmuyor! ''
