THE RESPONDERS

Three poets of different ethnicities, backgrounds, social class and sexuality come together and in a fluid structure and listen to each other's poems and respond spontaneously by reading their own. This provides a unique and contemporary reading that focuses on connections as well as difference, and is in contrast to the traditionally rigid structured of sectioned readers. This can bring about a range of themes and an overall coherent performance.  It can include prompts, or even participation with poetry, by the audience. Through this collaboration The poets have identified common themes of conflict and solidarity in family, the influence and contemplation of faith and cultural traditions and isolation and delight.

The world changes: we make new poetry to vandalise literary forms or retrieve those we need to renew.  We make new poetry to hybridise new species of understanding and reframe consciousness.

We make new poetry to have a good time.

Readings, recitations, incantations and events from established and upstart poets, word artists, ranters, spell-casters, rappers......and you if you want.
