Going Up is a romantic comedy inspired by Old Hollywood Screwball classics like Some Like It Hot (1959) and Bringing Up Baby (1938).
On his lunch break, our hero, Johnny, gets trapped in an elevator and begins to imagine his dream girl. As time drags on, the elevator transforms, evolving from a mere voice over the intercom and appearing physically, Johnny’s fantasy made manifest. Suffice it to say, they really hit it off!
She’s gorgeous, clever, and a powerful hydraulic machine. Adopting the name Labyrinth, it becomes increasingly apparent that she has existed long before he stepped through her doors, Johnny may have gotten more than he bargained for! Will this unlikely pair ride all the way to the top, or will everything come crashing down?
Going Up is silly and light-hearted and spends most of its run-time poking fun at men- thank goodness!
