This event is part of:
Makam Salam steps into Jazz in the Round and invites you into a unique evening of world jazz fusion, cross-cultural storytelling, art, and poetry. A night rooted in cross- border solidarity across the region. Expect deep groove-led music where contemporary jazz fusion meets ancient Middle Eastern roots. Songs in multiple languages, spoken word, visual art, and a special circle we will all step into together.
Makam Salam’s recent shows have raised funds for humanitarian relief in Palestine and the region. This time, they are donating ticket proceeds to the Jerusalem Youth Chorus, a project that brings Palestinian and Israeli youth together through music and dialogue.
Makam Salam is built on a practice of creative collaboration that stays honest and compassionate. They hold the Palestinian need for safety, dignity, and freedom, while insisting on equality, safety, and solidarity for everyone in the region.
