Fringe Revolution:
Our inaugural conference on the present and future of Fringe Theatre

Saturday 29 November

10:10 am - 4:30 pm

Is Fringe Theatre in trouble?

With The Stage reporting on the “uphill struggles” in Edinburgh over the summer, uncertainty around the future of ACE funding and the recent closure of prominent London venues and festivals, should we be sounding the alarm? Or is this all a perception problem? London Fringe Theatre Makers are made of strong stuff. We continue to survive and display our art. But is it time for us to fight back more strategically against this narrative of decline? Should we be coming together to get battle-ready for the challenges coming over the hill in the second quarter of the 21st century? Can we, collectively, combine our expertise and figure out how to evolve the capital’s Fringe Theatre community to be future-ready?

That’s what we intend to find out at Fringe REvolution - A series of one-day conferences on the present and future of London Fringe Theatre.

Our first event:

The London Fringe has never been busier. What are its strengths and current trends? What problems does it face? What are our priorities moving forward? How can we collaborate to challenge obstacles and develop opportunities?

We invite you to meet others, share your ideas, and contribute to our shared future.

The event is free and includes refreshments/light lunch.
