Snow White & The Many Squatters - The Elders Panto

Panto with a Church Street twist!
Snow White & the Many Squatters — The Elders Panto

Produced and presented by Dendê Collective

Mirror, mirror on the wall… who owns Church Street after all?

An Evil Queen with property-development ambitions. A Snow White without a home. And rather more squatters than you might remember…

When Snow White finds herself homeless, she discovers an unlikely refuge with a colourful collection of squatters. But with the Queen determined to get her own way, can Snow White and her new friends find their happily ever after?

Following last year’s sold-out Cinderella, featured on BBC and ITV News, the Church Street Elders return with a mischievous local take on another much-loved fairy tale.

Expect larger-than-life characters, a dangerously tempting apple, outrageous goings-on and plenty of opportunities to cheer, boo and join in. Created through improvisation, play and the collective imagination of our older performers, it’s part-scripted, part-improvised — and even we can’t promise what will happen next!

A funny, festive adventure for the whole family, celebrating friendship, community and the magic of making theatre at any age.

Come along, bring the family and help us give the Queen a thoroughly noisy welcome. Oh yes you will!

Please arrive 30 minutes before the performance.

About Drama for Elders
Part of the Dendê Elders Programme, Drama for Elders offers free weekly drama sessions for people aged 55+ at Church Street Library. Led by Dendê Collective, sessions explore theatre through games, improvisation, movement and storytelling.

No previous acting experience is needed, and new participants are welcome!

Dendê at The Cockpit
Dendê Collective’s collaboration with The Cockpit takes Drama for Elders beyond weekly classes, giving older people the opportunity to become performers and create two public productions each year.

Working towards a show brings creative challenges, purpose and pride. Participants shape their own performances and experience the excitement of sharing something they have built together. With The Cockpit’s support, they create memorable moments for audiences of all ages and contribute to the cultural life of Church Street and beyond.

Help keep the curtain rising
75% of ticket income goes to Dendê Collective, with 25% supporting The Cockpit.
These productions have no guaranteed ongoing funding, so every contribution helps sustain this collaboration and make future shows possible.

Dendê Collective has been bringing people together through theatre since 2000 and working regularly with older people in Westminster since 2017.
