The Cockpit LIVETRAIN is an industry-based, hands-on training programme for young people in Westminster seeking work in the theatre and live events industry.

We work with young people who benefit from both the skills-building opportunities we provide and the chance to develop a vital offline social community. In addition to gaining social skills, work skills, confidence and addressing social exclusion, LIVETRAIN provides participants with industry-relevant experience and commercially relevant knowledge.

Coming Up: 

The Cockpit LIVETRAIN is partnering with The London Youth Theatre's LYT BACKSTAGE to offer young creatives aged 16–22 training as part of the LYT summer production, at The Cockpit, in August 2025.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build skills in lighting, set design and stage management, while working on a live show in a professional theatre setting.
